MARATUA - Borneo's Most Exotic Island (Derawan, East Kalimantan)

In today's video, I go on an epic 3-week expedition to Maratua Island, Borneo's most exotic island in East Kalimantan. There I uncover the wonders of this exotic paradise. From thrilling encounters with Whale sharks and Sea turtles to discovering hidden gems, like free diving in caves filled with crystal blue water, this video is adventure packed!

The Derawan Islands has a lot to offer! Besides Maratua, I visit the nearby Sangalaki and their famous turtle sanctuary, along with Kakaban islands, with it's massive secluded lake filled with stingless jellyfish.

Witnessing the island's conservation efforts, I was touched by the organisation 'Yayasan Kalasahan' who teaches local kids English right on the beach. Together with my sponsor, Fuchs Indonesia, we gave them a memory they won't forget anytime soon.

Venturing off the beaten path, we discover secluded beaches, secret coves, and mystical caves, each revealing the incredibly beauty of this paradise Island.
